"Ramon we just checked into the Alma Barcelona and all I can say is WOW. The sleek interior, the warm welcoming staff, the comfrey lounge chairs we sat in for registration, the glass of Cava we each received and not to mention the finger print room key, it hard to say what we enjoyed the most. We only checked in 1/2 hour ago so I'm sure there are many other surprises to continue to Wow us. Thanks you so much for sourcing out the best experiences for our trips. "Hi Ramon, it was a pleasure for us to have you show us around ‘your’ Rioja and something we both enjoyed greatly. We arrived back in Melbourne this morning at 5:00 am, 28 hours after we left Bilbao on Monday. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to First Class with Emirates on the leg from Madrid to Dubai but still it is not easy and we have both been very subdued today. Both Arzak and Elkane were superb and Juan Mari in particular was very generous to us – we have a photo with the three of us - as was Alphonse in helping with the choice of menu. Arzak was special and the table at Elkane was the choice in the restaurant and I’m sure it showed some of your influence. The transfer from San Sebastian was smooth and the driver a lovely gentleman. So all up a great trip and one we will remember. We expect to see you again, maybe even in this part of the world and will always quote you to friends."

"Hi Marcelle, honestly I wouldn't miss the festival. It was fabulous. This was our second trip to Rioja. We were also there four years ago in July for the battle of the wines which is also a spectacular event. There certainly are crowds at the festival but our group included an 83-year-old woman who came with her son. She had the time of her life and didn't have any problem with the crowds. We did not go to the Basque country on this trip but we been there previously. San Sebastián is awesome. Ramon does a great job so I have no reservations about recommending him.
